Empathic Communication

As social animals, we might create or engage in destructive or violent behaviour – often without even being aware of it. Empathic communication is based on Marshall Rosenberg’s Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a way of life and tools for true connection and effective communication between people. Empathos Partners offers introductory and advanced courses in empathic communication – for you, your family, your workplace, your organisation and your community. Read more about NVC here.

We also offer courses in anger management, NVC in intimate relationships, NVC in the dialogue between parents and children, NVC in school, NVC at the workplace, NVC as used in conflict management and others. Please contact us for more information.

NVC can really make a big difference in people´s lives. A course participant recently said:

“Now it’s just over a week since I attended the course on NVC and anger management (with Gert Ceville-Danielsen). During this week, I practised some of the methods we learned – both in a private and a professional context – and I do not exaggerate when I say that the course has changed much of my life. Not only do I manage to formulate my needs much better and get many positive responses, I am also much more aware of what I really feel and need in different situations. Of course I will still be angry and annoyed occasionally, but the difference is that I now feel that it is I who is in control and no longer my feelings. I will always be grateful for that! “

Another participant said the following:

“After a weekend workshop in NVC with Gert Ceville-Danielsen, I’m left with so much inspiration and joy! I think it’s striking that after the course I had a lot more energy and surplus, despite the fact that the days were packed (at the course and at home). Gert had a presence and engagement that created trust and participation. There was openness and space for all feelings. I am grateful for all the insights and the support I received at the course. I also liked the way Gert used humour and self irony, as it opened for laughter and a relaxed mood (although we would work with serious topics). I’m already looking forward to future courses! “
